*** $ Haddon Cellars Pinot Grigio, 2006, CA - Review and Rating:

Original Review, June, 2008: The Haddon Cellars Pinot Grigio, 2006, was part of the "Wine Insiders" wine deal. In the glass, it is almost clear, with light vanilla tint. Aromas are bright, sweet grass, touch of lemon.

On the palate, think lightly sweet acidic pear, smooth apple-y finish. Not complex, but pleasant for the summer. Three stars out of five. Great value.

Updated Review, October, 2008: Similar notes on bottle aged a few more months. In this case, I picked up light grasses along with the hint of pear. Fell somewhere between a classic sauvignon blanc and a chardonnay. Light in body overall, though. Better only slightly cool. With a chill, it was too shrill.
