***+ $$ R.L. Buller Victoria Premium Fine Tokay NV , Australia - Wine Review and Rating

Review: The Buller Tokay comes from the Rutherglen area of Australia, which is known for its sweet fortified wines.

In the glass, it has the look of black coffee, medium brewed. Aromas are sweet, bringing carmel and brown sugar forward.

On the palate, a silky sweet texture is the first note, liquid carmel moving across your tongue and into your cheeks. Just enough acid to bring it a lift and make you want to savor another sip. Three stars with a plus for its intensely pleasant nature.

Robert Parker of the Wine Advocate awarded 95 points and said, "The dark-amber-hued Premium Fine Tokay offers sumptuous notes of spice box, Christmas pudding, figs, brown sugar, and molasses... Its freshness, good acidity, soaring aromatics, and unctuous flavors must be tasted to be believed."
