Review: A medium to deep purple color on this wine, which is produced by Jim Barry Wines from grapes of Coonawarra and Clare Valley, aged in French Oak. The vineyard formerly housed cricket grounds - thus the name and label picture. The aroma is of clean, slightly oaky cabernet fruit. The wine comes across intense and inky on the palate, with a deep, round, dark, oaky middle. Finish lingers, though with few tannins. Somehow, though, because of the dense middle, I think additional time in bottle could add to the pleasure of this wine. That brings the "+" in my rating.
