Rating: *** 2005 Chateau Coucheroy Graves Blanc, France

Check out Sauvignon Blanc at Amazon.

Review: Being enjoyed with a tuna/char tartar, this young Graves shows as a clear liquid with just a glint of gold. On the nose, aromas of pine needles and grass combine nicely. The palate delivers both of these flavors, just as promised. The body is silky and round... the finish wrapped in a clean slate and mineral package. Very nice overall for a modestly-priced French sauvignon blanc/semillion from a small estate in the Pessac/Leognan area of Graves.
