Rating: *** 2003 Di Bruno Stolpman Vineyard Sangiovese, Santa Ynez Valley CA

Review: I quite enjoyed Stolpman's own sangiovese blend, so I was interested to try this other winery's rendition of the same grapes. The Di Bruno showed bright red and brick in the glass. The nose was sweet and suggestive of pinot noir. On the palate, there was a bright open sense about the mid-palate, with a quick but sweek finish. Pleasant enough overall to explore again.

This wine was sampled as part of our brief expedition cruising Santa Ynez Valley.
