Rating: **+ 2004 Edge Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, CA

Review: This was a bit of a ringer, coming as a Napa cab in the midst of a Santa Ynez Valley tasting room. In the glass, it showed an even magenta color. The aroma was promising, one of new cherry furniture. The middle palate was powerful, but resolved into a relatively simple burnt cherry flavor. Interesting, but not sufficiently to come back to the wine.

This wine was sampled as part of our brief expedition cruising Santa Ynez Valley.
