Rating: *** 2004 Zaca Mesa Z Cuvee, Santa Ynez Valley, CA

Review: This is a Santa Ynez-based GSM blend, with a touch of cinsaut (also spelled "cinsault") added. It is a deep red burgundy color. There is an unusual, almost strange, stinky feet odor in the aroma. The body comes across with decent middle, but strongly acidic. Makes me want to explore it again to see what's going on with the aromas. Maybe excellent with a deep mushroom dish.

This wine was sampled as part of our brief expedition cruising Santa Ynez Valley.
