Rating: ** $$ 2005 Joseph Drouhin Vero Pinot Noir, Burgundy, France

Review: This is a value-priced medium body Burgundy-based pinot noir. Typically, it is difficult to find value in pinot noir; I have found that to be especially the case with French-based pinots. Let's see how we do here...

In the glass, the color is mid ruby. Aroma is of raspberries still on the bush - that is, very young and spring-y. Touches the palate smoothly. With bright, vibrant berries. Not much in the way of depth or length or distinction, but a pleasant sip.
