Rating: **+ 2006 Sanford Pinot Noir - Vin Gris, Santa Barbara County, CA

Review: This very light pinot noir is created by allowing very brief skin contact before pressing off juice from the La Rinconada Vineyard. The color of the wine is very light in the glass. A mellow grass aroma is noticeable, which is accompanied by a mellow mouthfeel on the palate. Slight sweetness accompanies the citrus notes. Needs to pair with food for proper consideration.

This wine was sampled as part of our brief expedition cruising Santa Ynez Valley.
