Visiting Longoria Wines Tasting Room, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez Valley, CA

This visit was part of our brief expedition cruising Santa Ynez Valley.

The Longoria Wines Tasting Room is right on Grand Avenue in the heart of little Los Olivos, CA. The tasting room is tiny, attached to an equally tiny gift shop and antique display. Adjacent to the tasting room is a pretty patio and garden, open to guests who wish to tarry a bit longer than the time required to taste a few wines.

In the tasting room, a modest fee gains you access to several selected wines and knowledgeable staff, along with a keepsake (non-crystal) glass. Longoria Wines is a fairly small operation overall, so chances are staff in the tasting room have also pressed a few grapes or helped with harvest too.

Listing from most to least favored, here are the wines I sampled at the Longoria Wines Tasting Room:

2005 Longoria Pinot Noir, Santa Rita Hills, CA

2005 Longoria Bien Nacido Pinot Noir, Santa Maria Valley, CA

2004 Longoria Clover Creek Vineyard Syrah, Santa Ynez Valley, CA

2004 Longoria Alisos Vineyard Syrah, Santa Barbara Country, CA

2003 Longoria Hoo Doo Red, Santa Barbara County, CA
