Rating: *** 2004 French Rabbit Chardonnay, Vin de Pays D'Oc, France

Review:
Well, they don't come much more inexpensive than this. If I'm remembering correctly, slightly under $5U.S. a bottle at a Zachy's sale. You'll probably pay a bit closer to $10. Bought for cooking, but let's try a sip too.

In the glass it is transparent clear with a light golden hue. Aroma is sweet citrus lime/orangey. On the palate, it is a touch lighter and sweeter than I expected, with true honey tones and a lingering wildflower honey finish. But gentle sweet acids do carry it up and around your mouth. Wow, balanced, round, touch of acid, smooth honey, real finish. Three stars out of five. And what a deal!
