Rating: ** $ 2005 Harlow Ridge Coastal Vines Pinot Noir, Lodi, CA

Review: This is a very inexpensive Lodi pinot noir, part of my "practically free" series. (You can see all the "practically free" entries by searching for the "$" tab at the the left.)

In the glass, this is medium red and transparent. The nose is modest, dusty, full of dark red cherry and plum. On the palate, a front-of-mouth acidic tingle is the first note, followed by a fairly generic middle fruit. Pleasant, but not memorable. The aroma is the strong point. Two stars out of five.
