Review and Rating: **+ $$ Clonakilla Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, 2006, Canberra, Australia

Review:
This is from a small family winery in the less well-known (for wines) Canberra district of Australia.

In the glass, the Clonakilla Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is very pale golden with green tint. Aroma is modest sweet grass with hay overtones.

On the palate, it is slightly sweet. Acids surround the cut grasses, with a touch of effervescence. Pleasant, though not a wine I'd hunt out again. Two stars out of five, with a plus for pleasantness.
