Review and Rating: ***+ Artezin Zinfandel, 2005

Review:
Artezin Zinfandel is a relatively new offering from the Hess Collection Winery, a well-regarded Napa Valley producer. Grapes for this label were blended from the regions of Napa, Amador and Mendocino.

In the glass, the Artezin is deep mahogany, not quite opaque. Bright, clean perky fruit aroma.

On the palate, a sweet, oaky, black cherry, deep layered style. Rich middle, long finish. Not huge complexity. Very nice overall. Three plus stars out of five.
