Review: Berry Bros. & Rudd is Britain's oldest wine and spirit merchant, having been established in 1698 by the Widow Bourne at 3 St James's Street, London.

BBR makes a number of wines under its own labeling, one of which is this Berrys' Chilean Merlot, from the Doña Javiera Estate.

In the glass, it is deep red, almost opaque. Aromas are very deep, ripe, full of plum. The palate is round, rich, ripe with plum and cherry flavors. Finish is smooth, rich, sweet and modest in length. Delicious. Four stars out of five. Great value. Not easy to get if you're in the United States.
