Review and Rating: **** $$ Rollan de By, 2004, Medoc, France
Review: Rollan de By is a merlot-driven blend from the Medoc in France. Deep red/opaque. Pushes bold aromas out, reminiscent of old Inglenook cabs. Good ole' wood and leather. Delivers a mouthful of intense substance - dark ripe fruit, round wood, notable tannins and acids, a lengthy finish, with waves of finish reminding you about what you just experienced. Outstanding. Four stars out of five.
