Review and Rating: ***+ $$ Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc, 2007, Marlborough, New Zealand

Check out Sauvignon Blanc at Amazon.

Review: The Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc, 2007, Marlborough, New Zealand, is light yellow in the glass, with a green tint. Aromas are classic, strong of cut grass and grapefruit.

In the mouth, there is an almost effervescent feel, with flavors of white currants. Impression is sweet, with a clean, lasting slate-like finish. Quite nice. Three stars out of five, with a plus for its intense nature.

Wine Spectator gave this 90 points, and said, "Supple, intense and streamlined, with a suave array of grapefruit, mineral, herb and guava tones. Spice tones add complexity, with generous fruit and minerals fleshing out the finish. Drink now."
