*** $$ B.R. Cohn Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006, North Coast, CA - Review and Rating

Review: The B.R. Cohn Silver Label Cabernet Sauvignon, 2006, appears deep red in the glass.

Aromas are fruity grape with a touch of oak. On the palate, you first get a bright, mid-red cherry sensation, a bit sweet. Definitely fruit-first. Tannins are there, given a bit of grip and a slight lingering, even finish. Three stars out of five.

Just Grapes liked the wine, saying, "It is a more old-world bordeaux style cab with flavours of damp earth, wood, and a little mushroom. There is a nice balance with the fruit, but the fruit is quite subdued and acts more as a canvass than as the full expressive character of the wine."
