***+ $$ Ehlers Cabernet Sauvignon, 2005, Napa, CA - Review and Rating

In the glass, Ehlers Cabernet Sauvignon is deeply dark, only clearing at the very edge of the glass.  Aroma is compelling, blending lush blueberries with sweet chocolate.  On the palate, sweet cabernet fruit is notable right upfront, nicely balanced with acids and a touch of drying tannins.  The berries and chocolate maintain their presence, consistent with the nose. Lingering finish. Three stars with a plus for its ageworthiness and underlying character.
