***+ $$ Fort Ross Symposium Pinot Noir, 2006, Sonoma, CA - Review and Rating

Light mid red in the glass. Aromas of bright red pinot grapes, laced with just a touch of dusty oak. On the palate, this comes along as a silty, minerally sleek sip, sliding a subtle, even fruit along the top of your tongue.  It trickles along the sides of your mouth, without notable tannins or  acidity. Finish is a very slow fade. Very pleasant and intriguing. Three stars out of five with a big plus for its subtle intrigue. Would be four stars with a touch more intensity.
