* $$ Laboure-Roi, Cote de Beaune Villages "Les Manoirs", 2005, France

Review: The Laboure-Roi Cote de Beaune Villages "Les Manoirs", 2005, is a pinot noir from various villages within the Cote de Beaune area.

In the glass, it is medium-red, almost transparent. Aromas are bright, sweet slightly funky with red currants. On the palate, you get a complete sensation of unsweetened Welsh's red grape juice. Finish is fast and acidic.

What are you feeding me?! One star out of five on the Spirit of Wine scale. Continues to demonstrate the concept that value-priced pinot noirs are tough to find.
