Review: The M. Chapoutier Cotes du Rhone is produced of grenache and syrah using organic methods. We are tasting 2006, a newly released vintage. In the glass, M. Chapoutier shows medium red.
Aromas are clean and sweet red cherry, with just a hint of raspberry. On the palate, this shows a bright acid twang up front, with dry, tight raspberry following on. Solid tannic wrap-up to the experience. Likely will round out with some time and air.
For now, two stars out of five on the Spirit of Wine scale.
