*** $$$ Calera Mt. Harlan Viognier, 2006, Central Coast CA - Review and Rating

Review: Calera Mt. Harlan Viognier is light yellow in the glass. Aroma is an interesting combination of motor oil, butterscotch and fresh-cut grass. Quite bold, with a touch of burnt oak.

On the palate, a lighter, slightly-acidic fruit comes through, rolling in on the slicker butterscotch backbone. Finish is relatively fast, brought along on light acids.

Three stars out of five.
