***+ $ Urban Uco Torrontes, 2008, Salta, Argentina - Wine Review and Rating

Review: Tasted at the Brown University Latin American Council wine tasting in New York City. Torrontes is coming onto the scene as a popular white wine grape. This version from Urban shows transparent in the glass. Aromas are sweet, reminiscent of fresh mown grass. On the palate, the experience is a shiny, sweet metallic wine with a bright acid finish. Pleasant and memorable. Three stars with a plus for its likely broad appeal. Fabulous value at modest price.
