Original Tasting and Review:

By way of background: San Sole Moscato Dolce is a Spumante style sparkling wine from Italy. The sparkler is finished at 7% alcohol.

In the glass: San Sole Moscato shows as medium honey in the glass, light regular bubbles and a bit of a froth when first hitting the glass.

On the nose: Poured cold, this sparkling moscato shows a bold grassy honey on the nose.

On the palate: The first elements on the palate are a sweet, lightly-perfumed, balanced spritz, followed by a cheek-energizing sweet acid.

And the wrap-up: The finish is cleansing, fresh, slightly sweet but without the slightest hint of being cloying.

In summary: Overall, fun, energizing experience. Rates four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, because we'd stay with this for an evening without veering.  Great value.
