Original Tasting and Review:

By way of background: This is Wyldewood Cellars Rhubarb Wine, Semi-Sweet, Non-Vintage, Kansas, complexified with 20% blackberry wine.  The base rhubarb wine is finished at 11.% alcohol.

In the glass: This is medium pink plus brick.

On the nose: Poured cold and swirled vigorously, this fruit wine shows a husky, tangy, broccoli aroma.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are a sweet, tangy middle, buttressed by distinct vegetable/fruit elements.  I can't say it is as much rhubarb, as a more generic "sweet mixed vegetable" sense.  The finish is fast, though clean and unobtrusive.

In summary: Overall, pleasant enough for two stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, with a plus for its easy-going nature.
