Initial review, by way of background: This is Vina Delia Malbec, Argentina, 2009, made by New Zealand winemaker Duncan Killiner.
In the glass: Deep magenta.
On the nose: Poured cool with a brief decant and swirled vigorously, this Argentinian malbec comes across as rich and dark plumy.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are tangy dark fruit with light tannings and bolder acids.
In summary: Overall, rates two stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
