By way of background, opening thoughts: Yellow Tail is a ubiquitous producer of Australian wines, known for its low price, decent quality and leaping orange kangaroo label.  Who even knew they produced a sparkling wine?!  Well, here it is.

Original tasting and review : This is Yellow Tail Sparkling White Wine, Australia, Non-Vintage, finished at 12.% alcohol.

In the glass: Clear to light yellow, with a tiny hint of green overtones.  It shows a stream of continuous small bubbles.

On the nose: Poured cold, shows a shy and light sweet nose.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact  a creamy attack with a sort-of bread pudding element coming across first.  A touch of soft caramel follows.  The finish is clean, crisp, with no cloying sugar.

In summary: Overall, the balanced experience rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Strong enough quality showing to make it a best value.
