By way of background, opening thoughts: When you think South Eastern Australia, you're probably usually thinking shiraz or possibly cabernet sauvignon.  Here we're sampling a chardonnay from this region.

Original tasting and review : This is Bloomside Cellars Chardonnay, South Eastern Australia, 2009, finished at 14.5% alcohol.

In the glass: Medium yellow, with a hint of gold.

On the nose: Poured at cool room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows bright, sweet white flowers.  From the aroma, seems like this will be sweet and tropical.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact bright, flowery and aromatic, with lively tropical and floral elements.  Bold because of the alcohol level,  but that settles out after the sip and allows some light tropical fruits to move the finish along.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scaleFollowing long decant, several days at cool room temperature in partially filled bottle:  Still bright white flowers on the nose, now with a hint of light sweet motor oil.  Remains light, lithe and satisfying on the palate.  Earns a plus for the balance, generating "good value" status.
