About quickie reviews: These review are made on the run, typically at large wine tastings, where the opportunity to settle in with a wine is limited. Nonetheless, key elements on the nose or palate are indicated, along with Spirit of Wine rating.
Quickie tasting notes: Nino Negri
Sfursat, Lombardy, Italy, 2006, is made of 100% chiavennasca, a local form of nebbiolo grape. It is shy and somewhat bright on the nose. Once on the palate, however, this shows as full, rich and deep blackberry.
Overall: Rates four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
