Original tasting and review , January, 2012: This is Sharpshooter Pinot Noir, Central Coast, California, 2006, finished at 13.6% alcohol.

In the glass: Medium red with brick at the very edge.

On the nose: Poured cool with a brief decant and swirled vigorously, shows light, classic pinot aromas.  From the aroma, seems like this will be gentle, bright and floral.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact easy and quick on the palate.  Simple friendly raspberry fruit glances gently off your tongue and races to a quick but clean finish.

In summary: Overall, simple yet friendly pinot noir experience rates two stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, with a big plus for its undeniably friendly character.

Following long decant, full day kept cool in partially filled bottle: Consistent aromas.  Palate gains a touch of needed heft, remaining quite friendly.

Updated review, a year and a half later, August, 2013:  Unmoved in nose and palate from a year and a half ago.  Still a pleasant sipper.
