Find today's prices and retail availability for Chateau Dalem.

About quick reviews: "Quick reviews" are made on the run, often at large wine tastings, where the opportunity to settle in with a wine is limited.  Our typical reviews carry more depth.  Nonetheless, key elements on the nose or palate are indicated, along with Spirit of Wine rating.

Quickie tasting notes:  This is Chateau Dalem, Fronsac, Bordeaux, France, 2009, made by Brigitte Rullier-Loussert.  Fresh with violets on the nose.  The palate is deep and bright.

Overall: Rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, with a plus for its bright balance.  Good value. ps, the en primeur 2011 version shows distinct perfumed violets as well on the nose.
