About quick reviews: "Quick reviews" are made on the run, often at large wine tastings, where the opportunity to settle in with a wine is limited.  Our typical reviews carry more depth.  Nonetheless, key elements on the nose or palate are indicated, along with Spirit of Wine rating.

Quickie tasting notes:  This is Chateau Gaby, Canon-Fronsac, Bordeaux, France, 2009 and 2011, made by Vignobles Famille Curl.  The 2009 shows as bold blackberry on the nose.  Palate is clean and fresh.  For the en primeur 2011, nose is clean and bold, while the palate is sweet and fresh, fruity.
Overall: Both vintages rate two stars plus on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
