About quick reviews: "Quick reviews" are made on the run, often at large wine tastings, where the opportunity to settle in with a wine is limited.  Our typical reviews carry more depth.  Nonetheless, key elements on the nose or palate are indicated, along with Spirit of Wine rating.

Quickie tasting notes:  This is Clos l'Eglise, Pomerol, Bordeaux, France, 2006 and 2011, by Sylviane Garcin.  The en primeur 2011 shows a bold nose, with sleek, full and bold fruit on the palate.  The 2006 displays bold funkiness on the nose.  The palate is sleek, fresh and tangy.
Overall: The 2011 vintage rates three stars plus on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, while the 2006 rates three stars.
