Original tasting and review : This is Beaulieu Vineyard BV Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, California, 2009, finished at 14.5% alcohol.

In the glass: deep burgundy, opaque from about a half inch in from the edge.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature with a brief decant and swirled vigorously, shows soft fruit and some cocoa chocolate chips.   From the aroma, seems like this will be soft and deep.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact round, rich, accessible with deep blackberry fruit and semi-sweet chocolate and some vanilla extract.  The finish lingers for just a few moments, ending clean and satisfying.

In summary: Overall, rates four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Hits "best value" designation if you can acquire at a sale price.
