Review: *** $ OP Opera Prima Cabernet Sauvignon, Spain, 2011 = BEST VALUE and PRACTICALLY FREE

Check out today's pricing and retail availability for OP Opera Prima Cabernet Sauvignon.

Original tasting and review : This is OP Opera Prima Cabernet Sauvignon, Spain, 2011, finished at a mere 12.5% alcohol.

In the glass: Medium ruby and dusty red.

On the nose: Poured at cool room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows deep, fruity, sweet prunes.  From the aroma, seems like this will be sweet and simple fruit.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact more intriguingly fragrant than anticipated,  with some blueberry and blackberry notes moving above the distinct prune essence.  Fresh, easy and round.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, given its easy accessibility, making it a best value at its bargain, practically-free price.
