Original tasting and review : This is SeaGlass Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County, California, 2011, finished at 13.5% alcohol.

In the glass: Solid medium red.

On the nose: Poured at  room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows bright red cherry varietal notes.  From the aroma, seems like this will be tangy and bright.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact full of red cherries and cinnamon spices, broader in tone and wider in the palate than anticipated.  Brightness picks up the edges, but the finish holds its depth.

In summary: Overall, rates a full three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, with a plus for spicy balance, making this a best value at an attractive pinot noir price point.
