By way of background, opening thoughts:  The Tin Roof Cellar label is one of several bargain priced brands from O'Neill Vintners in Parlier, California.  O'Neill Vintners other brands include Pepi, Camelot and Moscato Allegro.   This wine sample was provided by the winery's representative.

Original tasting and review : This is Tin Roof Cellars Sauvignon Blanc, California, 2012, finished at 1.% alcohol.

In the glass: Clear with light yellow hints.

On the nose: Poured at cool cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, shows light, sweet grapefruit and only hints of classical grass aromas.  From the nose, seems like this will be easy drinking and light.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact gently fruited sweet citrus and clean acids, creating an overall impression of bright, clean effervescence.  Finish is high pitched and lasting.

In summary: Overall, just touches three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale because of its simple pleasures.  Think of it as a "starter" sauvignon blanc.  Best value at its bargain price.
