By way of background, opening thoughts: I've enjoyed the several past Argentinian torrontes wines that I've sampled before.  Here's one from Crios de Susana Balbo.

Original tasting and review : This is Crios de Susana Balbo Torrontes, Salta, Argentina, 2007, finished at 13.8% alcohol.

In the glass: Light yellow, hints of olive.

On the nose: Poured at cool room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows sweet citrusy lemon and little hints of grapefruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be bright!

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact much sleeker and balanced than anticipated.  Underlying sheer, light butterscotch gives a nice platform to the bright touch of lemon.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars with a plus for lively balance on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Good value.
