Original tasting and review : This is Bleasdale LX Langhorne Crossing, Langhorne Creek, Australia, 2006, finished at 14% alcohol.  This is a blend incorporating cabernet sauvignon, malbec, shiraz and petit verdot, sampled at eight years from vintage date.

In the glass: Deep ruddy dark brick, opaque in the center.

On the nose: Poured at  room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows soft, fragrant dark red fruits.  From the aroma, seems like this will be sweet and soft.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact bigger, bolder and more vibrant than anticipated. Shows lively, full red and black fruit with little sign of age.  Solid licorice brings up the sides and a bright red finish lodges in your cheeks.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars with a plus for lively vivacity on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Good value.
