By way of background, opening thoughts:

Original tasting and review : This is Lafage Cote Est Blanc Grenache Chardonnay Marsanne, Vin de Pays Des Cotes Catalanes, Languedoc, France, 2008, finished at 13.% alcohol, sampled six years from vintage date.

In the glass: Light honey with tiny glints of green.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows fresh, clean, bright hay.  From the aroma, seems like this will be tangy and light.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact cheek piercing bright with acids, but supported by an interesting softer layer of light hard butterscotch candy.  A clean, bright finish lingers with hints of background sugar.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale, with a plus for its combination layers and nice longevity.  Good value.
