Original tasting and review : This is Espelt Garnacha (Grenache), Emporda, Spain, 2010, finished at 14% alcohol.

In the glass: Medium ruby red.

On the nose: Poured at cool room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows light, almost cru beaujolais stylings.  From the aroma, seems like this will be bright and lightly fruity.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact much as anticipated, delicate, fresh red raspberries, with some deeper charcoal elements (probably coming in with the all new French oak barreling).  Lightly gritty and fresh, bright finish.

In summary: Overall, rates three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
