Simply Wine Festival in Westlake Village Adds Classical and Popular Music Performance for 2014

The Four Seasons in Westlake Village, California, has been home to a number of prominent wine tasting events in the Los Angeles / Ventura County area.  This March, it will host another popular, widely-attended tasting, the Simply Wine Festival.

Simply Wine Festival’s benefit for Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties on March 14, 2014,  is already promising well-known names in wine, spirits.  This year, music, too, is on the agenda.

The event has already attracted over sixty wineries, high-end spirits brands and craft beers and over 700 guests. Tesla Motors will be featuring 3 of their cars at the event and offering test drives to guests.

In its latest development, the inaugural Simply Wine Festival - benefiting Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties - has recruited The Westlake Village Symphony String Quartet. The Westlake Village Symphony (WVS) is one of four musical functions of the Pacific Pearl Music Association (PPMA), a culturally diverse association located in the Conejo Valley. Ticket holders can look forward to hearing a fun and eclectic mix of classical literature and popular tunes.

Martha Peretz, C.E.O. for the event organizer, Simply Wine Festival,  points to the Festival event as an experience and not just a tasting.  She said “Wine lovers should expect more than just their ‘tasting’ senses to be piqued. We get to transport wine lovers for a few hours to a utopia of wonderful wine, spirits food and music, all in a stunning setting."

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. According to a 2011 U.S study of “wish impact”, most health professionals agree that “a wish come-true” can have a positive impact on the health of a child. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illnesses, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family.

With a staff of only four, and the help of more than 100 volunteers, Make-A-Wish Tri-Counties has granted over 1,200 special wishes to children in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. If you want to refer a child to Make-A-Wish, call 1-888-899-9474 [WISH].

Donations may be sent to Make-A-Wish at 4222 Market Street, Suite D, Ventura, CA 93003. For more information on these or other ways to help, visit

Founded in 2006 the PPMA is a non-profit organization which endeavors to enrich its members and audiences through music performance and education. The WVS is a community orchestra that has on many occasions graced the walls of the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, and California Lutheran University’s Samuelson Chapel, and has performed benefit concerts for such organizations as the Boys and Girls Club.
