Original tasting and review : This is Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon, California, 1999, finished at 13.5% alcohol and first sampled a full 15 years from vintage date!

In the glass: Medium red.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows deep, perfumed, oaky black currant fruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be sweet and layered.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact chewy with ripe black currant and ripe plums.  The tannins have settled in and wrap the fruit in a soft robe.  Finish is soft and modest.

In summary: Overall, rates an easy three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
