Original tasting and review : This is Robert Mondavi Pinot Noir, Carneros, California, 2004, sampled at a full 10 years from vintage date.

In the glass: Deep red and orange.

On the nose: Poured at cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, shows shy but friendly fruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be still enjoyable and youthful at a full decade of age.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact just as anticipated: light for its age, sprightly, fresh, aromatic and fruitful.  Clean fruit, hint of orange peel, tannins and acids have subsided, but not showing any deleterious effects of age.  Fresh and substantive.

In summary: Overall, rates an easy three stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
