Review: **+ $ Tinto Negro Malbec, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, 2012

Original tasting and review : This is Tinto Negro Malbec, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina, 2012, finished at 14% alcohol and first sampled two years from vintage date, in July, 2014.

In the glass: Deep dark magenta, opaque about a half inch from the edge.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows shy, lightly oaky fruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be taut, perhaps non-descript.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact dry blackberry with a light acid and tannin mix.  High in tone with a brief, clean finish.  Perfectly pleasant experience.

In summary: Overall, rates two stars with a plus for pleasantness on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
