Original tasting and review : This is Cercius White Wine, France, 2012, finished at 12.5% alcohol and first sampled two years from vintage date, in August, 2014.

In the glass: Clear, hint of yellow.

On the nose: Poured at cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, shows sleek grasses and metallic sheen.  From the aroma, seems like this will be tangy, sharp, with perhaps a hint of sweetness.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact the aromatics and stainless steel of a New Zealand sauvignon blanc along with the soft, full mouthfeel of a barrel-aged chardonnay from from Sonoma.  Yields a friendly, classically-structured white wine, with broad mouth feel and a clean finish.

In summary: Overall, rates three plus stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Good value.
