Original tasting and review : This is Benjamin Darnault A.O.P. Minervois, France, 2013, finished at 13% alcohol, produced by NakedWines and first sampled one year from vintage date, in October, 2014.

In the glass: Deep mahogany, opaque from about a half inch in.

On the nose: Poured at room temperature and swirled vigorously, shows deep, lusty purple fruit, full of veins.  From the aroma, seems like this will be thick and layered.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact rich but dry plum fruit, some tannins holding around the edges. Fast and bright finish.

In summary: Overall, rates two stars with a hats off for distinctiveness on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
