Original tasting and review : This is Cuvee Particuliere Chateau Lamartine, Cahors, France, 2003, finished at 14% alcohol and first sampled 12 years from vintage date, in January, 2015.
In the glass: Deep burgundy with some brick, opaque in the center.
On the nose: Poured at cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, shows old school, but beefy red blood meat. From the aroma, seems like this will be thick and bold.
On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact balanced, fat and solid in substance. The notes are of blackberry and hamburger. Pleasant and even-toned.
In summary: Overall, rates threestars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.
