Original tasting and review : This is Cupcake Vineyards Chardonnay, Central Coast, California, 2013, finished at 13.5% alcohol and first sampled 2 years from vintage date, in June, 2015.

In the glass:  Light yellow, with hints of olive.

On the nose: Poured at cellar temperature and swirled vigorously, shows soft fresh fruit, some grasses and grapefruit.  From the aroma, seems like this will be sweet and bright.

On the palate: The primary elements on the palate are in fact boldly fragrant, soft, generous and sweet, full of pear and squeezed citrus.  Bright perky acids cleanse the sweetness and roll to a modest but clean finish.

In summary: Overall, rates an impressive four stars on the five-star Spirit of Wine scale.  Screaming best value at bargain price point.
